Knightfall
History’s medieval drama series “Knightfall” had the third-best cable drama launch of 2017, pulling in 1.8 million total viewers – behind only “Feud: Bette and Joan” and “The Son,” and tied with “Taboo”.

The series, set after the fall of the city of Acre, goes inside the medieval politics and warfare of the Knights Templar. The group was the most powerful, wealthy and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages and Tom Cullen plays a knight for the order sent out on a life or death mission to find the lost Cup of Christ. Bautista plays a very determined detective who commandeers an unsuspecting Uber driver named Stu into a harrowing evening of hijinks and mayhem. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will produce. [Source: Deadline]

The Phantom Tollbooth
Matt Shakman has been set to direct the live action & CG animated adaptation of Norton Juster classic children’s book “The Phantom Tollbooth” for TriStar Pictures. Phil Johnston wrote the latest draft of the script, originally by Michael Vukadinovich, while Donald De Line and Ed McDonnell are producing.

The story follows Milo, an apathetic child who is bored by everything. When a tollbooth mysteriously appears in his room, he drives through it and discovers the magical Lands Beyond – which is full of intriguing places and dynamic characters. [Source: THR]
